My name is Joe, and I always wanted to record an acoustic performance, where I play my songs, tell my stories, and the audience listens. And by listen, I mean they sit down, don’t talk to their friends, and actually digest the words in my songs.
This record is that dream. On May 4th, 2019, I sat on a stool in front of a sold out audience at the Apollo Theater in Peoria, IL, and I told stories. Some of those stories were songs, and some were just me talkin on a stool. And the audience listened. And we recorded it.
I named the record, Stories: Live & Unplugged. It’s simple, it’s ornery, and it’s honest. It’s me.
In February, 2020, I’m gonna release this sum’bitch.
